Helen Clarke
Executive Chairperson

Helen grew up in the area. She joined Amber House in 1998 as a Christian Counsellor was later elected onto the Management Committee and accepted the chair in January 2002. Helen has obtained Certificates and Diploma in specified areas of counselling work. She is very much hands on with the work in Roden Street and totally committed to the ethos of Amber House.

 

 

Dr Caroline Bingham Ph. D
Development Officer / Manager

Dr Caroline Bingham is a local woman. Her Special interest is in deprived working class communities and unemployment. She has 25 years experience in Community Development Work and Youth Initiatives. She has membership of Training Women's Network, Chartered Institute of Personal Development and Alumni of Queens & University of Ulster. She has graduated from both Queens and University of Ulster. She holds the following qualifications: Ph.D., Adv.Dip.O.C.G, and Dip.Soc.St. (Hons), Dip.T. Mgt, Dip.C.W, Cert.C.W, Cert.C.St, Cert.C.Ed.Dev, Cert.S.W.St.

   

Mandy Dixon
Arts Coordinator / Administrator

Mandy is local mum, who is currently studying for her NVQ in Administration at BIFHE. She has 5 years experience as a youth assistant and has attained RSA Level III (Advanced) in Word Processing. She is now funded by The Arts for N. I. Mandy organises all Tutors and supervises the staff in the Fun Factory House.

   

Joan Bingham
Administrator

Joan has gained a NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration and a Diploma In Information Technology. She has been with the Amber Community Development Agency for 4 years. Joan worked voluntary in Amber House for a year on placement from Voluntary Services Belfast, then she was funded as the Administrator for 3 years with Belfast Regeneration Office. Now she is funded by the Community Fund to carry on for a further 2 years. Joan is the office supervisor and in charge of providing hands on experience for volunteers.

   

Suzanne Melville
Youth Assistant

Suzanne has graduated from the University of Portsmouth where she gained a BA (Hons) in Art Design and Media. More recently she has obtained her OCR in Youth work. Suzanne is the Part-time Youth Assistant and is currently developing the Art & Craft skills of the young people in the area. This also includes a regular edition of a Newsletter written and published by the youth group. Suzanne hopes to extend her area of work to Fundraising.

   

Kerry Robinson
Child Play Worker

Kerry has gained NVQ levels I, II, & III in Early Years Care and Education. She also has a Child Protection Certificate. Kerry is currently working for her OCR level II in Youth work. She works with 5-11 year olds for sessions in the following areas: Art & Craft, Drama, Music and Fashion design. Kerry also assists with the Newsletter / Computer Sessions with the older age group.
